Bajie's Big Push

The road went into a valley full of old, squishy persimmons. Phew! It smelled so bad that nobody could walk through.

"The persimmons have blocked our road for years," said the village grandpa. "Nobody can clear them away."

"I can help!" said Bajie. "I'm very good at pushing." Wukong was very surprised.

Bajie said a magic word and turned into a giant pig. He was as big as a hill!

The villagers brought him lots and lots of food: rice, buns, melons and pies. Bajie ate it all up!

Then Bajie pushed with his big snout. Push, push, push! The persimmons rolled away.

By evening, the whole road was clean! The villagers cheered and clapped.

Then Bajie turned back and jumped into the river for a bath. "Now you smell much better!" laughed Wukong.

That night, Bajie was the hero of the village. He fell asleep with a full tummy and a happy smile.
