Monkey Goes to School
The Monkey King had a happy home. But one day he wondered, "What else is there to learn?"
He made a little raft and sailed across the big sea. The waves went up and down.
He walked and walked, looking for a teacher. A kind woodcutter showed him the way.
On the mountain lived a wise old master called Subhuti.
The master smiled. "I will give you a name: Sun Wukong."
Every day, Wukong swept the floor, listened and practised.
The master taught him seventy-two changes, and the cloud somersault. One flip took him far, far away!
"Show us!" said the other students. Wukong turned into a pine tree!
The master said, "Magic is not for showing off. Time to go home, Wukong." And Wukong flew home on a cloud.
拜师学艺
美猴王有一个快乐的家。可是有一天，他想：“世界上还有什么我不知道的呢？”
他做了一只小木筏，漂过大海。浪花一会儿高，一会儿低。
他走了很久很久，到处找老师。一位砍柴的老爷爷给他指了路。
山上住着一位很有智慧的老师父，叫菩提祖师。
祖师笑着说：“我给你取个名字，叫孙悟空。”
每天，孙悟空打扫院子，认真听课，好好练功。
祖师教他七十二变，还教他翻筋斗云。一个筋斗，就能翻出好远好远！
师兄们说：“变一个给我们看看！”孙悟空一变，变成了一棵松树！
祖师说：“本领不是用来炫耀的。悟空，该回家啦。”孙悟空翻了个筋斗云，回到了花果山。
