Monkey Says Hello
High on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit sat a round stone egg. The sun warmed it, day after day. Then… crack!
Out came a little golden monkey. He was called Stone Monkey, because he came from a stone. He opened his eyes. Everything was new!
The sun came up over the mountains.
Monkey bowed to the east, the south, the west and the north.
Monkey was thirsty. He found a cool, clear stream. Slurp, slurp.
Monkey was hungry. A big pink peach hung from a tree. Chomp!
Monkey hopped along the mountain path. Hop, hop, hop!
He swung from a pine tree, high above the clouds. Whee!
The moon came up. Monkey curled up in the soft grass. What a big, happy first day. One day, the whole world would know his name: Sun Wukong, the Monkey King.
小猴子说你好
花果山的山顶上，有一颗圆圆的石蛋。太阳天天晒着它，暖暖的。忽然……咔嚓！
石蛋里出来一只金黄色的小猴子。他是从石头里蹦出来的，大家叫他石猴。他睁开眼睛。什么都是新的！
太阳从山后面升起来了。
小猴子向东、向南、向西、向北，都鞠了一个躬。
小猴子渴了。他找到一条清清凉凉的小溪。咕嘟，咕嘟。
小猴子饿了。树上挂着一个又大又红的桃子。啊呜，咬了一大口！
小猴子沿着山路跳呀跳。蹦，蹦，蹦！
他抓着松树枝，荡来荡去，一直荡到云朵上面。
月亮出来了。小猴子在软软的草地上蜷成一团。第一天，真快乐。很多年以后，大家都叫他孙悟空！
