On a red mountain lived a little boy called Red Boy. He could make fire come out of his little cart, and he loved showing off.
"Come and play with me!" he shouted to the friends. But he wanted to play with fire, and fire is not a toy.
Whoosh! Red Boy puffed out a big cloud of smoke and sparks. "Too hot!" cried Wukong, and his eyes watered.
Wukong asked the Dragon King to send some rain. But the rain could not put out Red Boy's magic fire.
So Wukong flew to ask Guanyin for help. "Red Boy just needs a kind teacher," she said gently.
Guanyin came and made a big, soft lotus flower. Red Boy hopped onto it, and the lotus held him gently.
Red Boy looked down at his toes. "I'm sorry I was naughty," he said quietly.
Guanyin gave Red Boy a new job: to be her little helper. He waved goodbye, proud and happy.
That night, the friends made a small, safe campfire. "Fire is good for warm hands and cooking dinner," said Wukong, "not for playing."
