The Bracelet That Gobbles
Wukong drew a magic circle on the ground. "Stay inside, and you'll be safe!" he said.
But Bajie smelled warm buns nearby. "Just one!" he said. Out they all went.
Out came a big blue-grey ox in a green robe. "Come to my cave," he said, and shut the door.
Wukong came to save them. The ox threw his gold bracelet. Whoosh! It gobbled up Wukong's staff!
Helpers came with fire, water and swords. Gobble, gobble! The bracelet ate them all up!
"Whose bracelet is that?" Wukong wondered. He flew all over the sky to find out.
At Laozi's house, the ox's stall was empty! "My ox ran away," said Laozi, "with my bracelet!"
"Ox, come home!" called Laozi. The ox said sorry, and the bracelet gave everything back.
Laozi rode his ox home, slow and happy. "Goodnight, Ox!" called the friends.
青牛和金手镯
孙悟空在地上画了一个魔法圈。他说：“待在圈里，就安全了！”
可是，八戒闻到了附近热乎乎的包子香。他说：“就吃一个！”于是大家都走出了圈。
一头穿绿袍的大青牛走了出来。他说：“到我的山洞里来吧。”说完就把门关上了。
孙悟空赶来救大家。大青牛扔出了他的金手镯。金手镯一下子把孙悟空的金箍棒吞了进去！
天上的帮手们带着火、水和宝剑来帮忙。咕噜咕噜！金手镯把它们全都吞掉了！
孙悟空想：“这个金手镯是谁的呢？”他飞遍了天上去打听。
到了太上老君家，牛棚是空的！太上老君说：“我的青牛偷偷跑了，还带走了我的手镯！”
太上老君喊：“青牛，回家啦！”青牛说了对不起，金手镯把吞掉的东西都吐了出来。
太上老君骑着青牛，慢悠悠地回家了。大家喊：“晚安，青牛！”
