The Great Sage
One morning, a kind old man floated down from Heaven on a cloud.
"The Jade Emperor invites you to Heaven!" said the old man.
Up, up they flew, to Heaven. There were golden palaces and soft white clouds everywhere.
Wukong's job was to look after the heavenly horses. He brushed them, fed them, and played with them.
The horses grew strong and happy. Every horse loved Wukong.
One day Wukong asked, "Is my job a big job?" "No," laughed an official. "It's the smallest job in Heaven."
Wukong felt sad. He jumped on his cloud and flew home.
His friends hugged him and made him a big flag. "You are the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven!"
The kind old man came back. "Heaven will call you the Great Sage," he said. That night, the Great Sage slept with a happy smile.
齐天大圣
一天早上，一位慈祥的老神仙，坐着云彩从天上飘下来。
老神仙说：“玉皇大帝请你到天宫去！”
他们往上飞呀飞，来到了天宫。到处是金色的宫殿和软软的白云。
孙悟空的工作是照顾天马。他给马儿梳毛，喂草，还陪它们玩。
马儿们长得又壮又快乐。每一匹马都喜欢孙悟空。
有一天，孙悟空问：“我的官大不大？”一个官员笑着说：“不大，是天上最小的官。”
孙悟空很难过。他跳上筋斗云，回家去了。
朋友们抱住他，还给他做了一面大旗。“你是齐天大圣！”
老神仙又来了，说：“天宫也叫你齐天大圣啦。”那天晚上，齐天大圣笑着睡着了。
