The Magic Fruit Tree
The friends came to a quiet temple with a big, old, magic tree. Two little temple boys said, "Welcome! Our teacher is away today."
The magic tree grows very special fruit, called ginseng fruit. Bajie sniffed. His tummy rumbled and rumbled.
Wukong climbed up the tree, quick as a squirrel. He picked three fruits: one for each friend.
Bajie ate his fruit in one big gulp. "What did it taste like?" he asked. He ate it too fast to know!
"Some fruit are missing!" cried the temple boys crossly. Wukong got cross too. He pushed the tree in a temper, and down it fell!
The leaves went brown, and Wukong felt very sorry. Their teacher came home, an old man with a long white beard. "Please help my tree," he said kindly.
Wukong flew far and wide to find help. At last, kind Guanyin came, with her little vase of magic water.
Guanyin sprinkled the magic water on the roots. The tree stood up, green and strong, with lots of new fruit!
That night, everyone shared the magic fruit together. "Sorry about your tree," said Wukong. "Let's be friends," smiled the old man.
人参果
大家来到一座安静的道观，院子里有一棵又大又老的神奇大树。两个小道童说：“欢迎欢迎！我们的老师今天出门了。”
这棵树上结着很特别的果子，叫人参果。八戒闻了闻，肚子饿得咕咕叫。
孙悟空像小松鼠一样，飞快地爬上了树，摘了三个果子，给每个好朋友一个。
八戒一口就把果子吞了下去。“是什么味道呀？”他问。吃得太快，都没尝出来！
“果子少了！”小道童生气地说。孙悟空也生气了，一发脾气，推倒了大树，大树轰隆一声倒下了！
叶子都变黄了，孙悟空心里很难过。道童的老师回来了，是一位白胡子老爷爷。他温和地说：“请你帮我救救这棵树吧。”
孙悟空飞到很远很远的地方去找帮手。最后，善良的观音菩萨带着装满仙水的小瓶子来了。
观音把仙水洒在树根上。大树慢慢站了起来，又绿又壮，还结满了新果子！
那天晚上，大家一起分着吃人参果。孙悟空说：“对不起，弄坏了你的树。”老爷爷笑着说：“我们做朋友吧！”
